The family business was introduced over half a century ago as a small bakery producing fine Armenian and Eastern European delicacies. Along with the immigration into the States, and with his Father’s baking skills, Rubic Movsessian and his wife, Knar, sparked the community with the introduction of Classic Bakery, Inc. in 1991. Rubic’s objective began with a simple idea: Meeting the needs of his customers by combining flavors within each picturesque baked good. Each freshly baked delicacy is created into a work of art using homemade family recipes. Today, his goal has developed into serenading each customer with exceptionally unique tastes created only at Classic Bakery Inc.
By popular demand, Classic Bakery Inc. began to expand its unique existence to include sandwiches, imported coffee, Italian gelato and dry goods. With the continuous development, Classic Bakery Inc. has transformed the definition of baking in the Washington, DC-Metropolitan Area. Today, Classic Bakery Inc. has a reputation as the area’s leading maker of custom designed wedding cakes, in addition to pastries, cookies and the like.
