Tequila Surp-rise!

It was Hamed’s 25th brithday and what better way to surprise the king of Patron with a 3D recreation of a Patron Bottle. The bottle featured a lifelike fondant made cork with the seal and certificate of authenticity hanging around the bottleneck. No, the bottle was not filled with tequila, rather a chocolate and yellow sponge cake layered with chocolate mousse with crushed semi sweet dark chocolate chips, and white chocolate mousse with crushed Oreo’s. Happy Birthday buddy!

Bridal Cupcake Tree

I love the opportunity to work with individuals who like to think “outside the box” when it comes to cakes and desserts. Recently I had the pleasure of working with my longtime friend Medea who needed desserts for her sister-in-laws bridal shower. She came up with the wonderful idea to have a cupcake tree, topped with a 7″ fondant covered cake. After working a few design ideas, we decided to use the cake as the grand stage for a handmade fondant wedding dress, speckled with silver dragees and a sash to match the fuchsia color that would be used for the favors. The dress would be hanging on a dress hanger also made of fondant. The base of the cake was borders with fuchsia colored daisies all the way around. For the cupcakes, we used custom made laser cut monogrammed cupcake wrappers bearing the initials of the bride and groom. The cupcakes were an assortment of chocolate and yellow cake topped with our signature cream. The final product was absolutely astonishing! Thanks Medea for letting us piece together your idea!

Explosions, helicopters, machine guns, car chases – a true disaster of a wedding cake. This 007 wedding cake was made for 100 guests with a foe top tier made from Styrofoam. The bride and groom totally gave their guests a centerpiece to talk about.

To celebrate her parents’ 25^th silver anniversary, Obha had a magnificent unisex cake made to please them both. The cake features a handmade BMW logo cake for her father’s love of BMW’s — made of Yellow cake layered with custard chocolate mousse filling and fondant icing, and for her Fashionista mother, she chose to have a Gucci high heel shoe recreated completely of pink fondant.
